Office of Electricity Delivery and Energy Reliability

Measuring OE Benefits

The Office of Electricity Delivery and Energy Reliability (OE) conducts an annual assessment of benefits in accordance with the requirements of the Government Performance and Results Act (GPRA). The OE assessment is performed in coordination with other DOE energy technology programs under the Office of the Under Secretary of Energy, including the Nuclear Energy, Fossil Energy, and Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy programs. 2006 was the first year all four offices worked together using similar guidelines and methods to produce an integrated assessment of benefits. The integrated assessment is performed using the National Energy Modeling System (NEMS) link.
